Hydrant Maintenance 2026: What Residents Need to Know

The annual hydrant maintenance program starts early next week on Monday, May 11, 2026. As crews move into a new area, we will share the locations where the work is taking place. Over the next couple of weeks, hydrant maintenance will occur in the following areas:

• Area 1: Detroit River to Reaume Road, and the Detroit River to Matchett Road.
• Area 2: North of Sprucewood Avenue to Stuart Boulevard, Malden Road to Matchett Road.

Customers in these areas may experience a reduction in pressure and/or discolored water conditions. If water discoloration occurs, residents should run their cold water taps until the water clears. For information, please contact the Public Works Department.
