Pay My Water Bill

The Town of LaSalle administers water/wastewater billing services. LaSalle residents will receive bills from Essex Powerlines for hydro usage.

The Town of LaSalle will send residential water/wastewater bills out quarterly, or every three months (April, July, October and January) to residential customers. This means that bills will have three months' worth of usage included. For example, April's bill will include usage for January, February, and March. The due dates are set to the last Friday of the month for the month that the bill was issued.

Residents will see the new water rates on the April 2025 bill for usage in January, February and March.

Payment Plan Options

Payments can be made by cash, cheque, debit, online or by automatic withdrawal. Payments can be made upon receipt of the bill, or you can sign-up for a pre-authorized payment plan. There are several options available to pay your water bill including:

Town Hall is open for business Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, except holidays.

For your convenience an after-hours box is located to the right of the main doors off the customer parking lot of Town Hall.

Make cheques payable to the Town of LaSalle and return by mail along with the payment stub.

An after-hours drop box for payments made by cheque is located on the north wall of the front entrance at the LaSalle Civic Centre, next to the employee entrance.

Tax bills can be paid through your financial institution. Please contact your local branch for more information.

Please note that when paying through your financial institution, it may take a few days for the payment to be processed and sent to us. If we receive the payment after the due date, a late fee is automatically added to your account. Be sure to make your payment a few days ahead of the due date to prevent this from happening.

Payments must be received by The Town of LaSalle by the due date.

Payments will be automatically deducted from the customer's bank account on the due date of each bill.

Complete the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan Form and submit it to the Finance Department. If you already make your municipal tax payments by pre-authorized payment, and would like to pay your water/wastewater bill by pre-authorized payment, please complete an additional pre-authorized payment form.

Residential customers may register for equal monthly payments. Customers will receive a notice indicating their monthly payment for the year. This is calculated based on the average usage history over the past year.

Water Ownership Change Form

The Water Ownership Change Form can be completed for the purchase or sale of property. Water accounts cannot be set up in tenant names.

Institutional/Commercial/Industrial/Multi-Residential

Since commercial/industrial/institutional/multi-residential water and wastewater customers typically use more water than residential customers, they will be billed monthly for the previous month's usage. For example, February's bill will include usage for January.

Contact the Finance Department at 519-969-7770, ext. 1230 for more information about water billing and payment options, or send an email.
